Each year in the United States we observe National Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15th to October 15th, by “recognizing the important presence of, and contributions made by, Hispanic and Latino Americans in the United States, while celebrating their heritage and culture.”
As we mention every week, the Hispanic community has had a great impact on the housing market and will continue growing its influence; It has been reported that Hispanics will represent “52% of new homeowners between 2010 and 2030.”
This is a community that is frequently overlooked, but as real estate professionals, we should take a look at the impact this community can have on our business. Because of this, we are going to offer you something a little different this month while focusing on answering the question: “Is the Hispanic community important in the housing market?”
In order to answer that question, we interviewed a few real estate experts and we are going to share those interviews with you each Thursday, in place of the written blog, as part of a series that we are calling “Thursdays of Interviews.”
Additionally, we want to invite all real estate professionals to attend a FREE webinar called “The Hispanic Community: the ‘Hidden Opportunity’ in Real Estate,” on Tuesday, September 27th, at 2:00 p.m. EST
The webinar will focus on the following:
- How big the opportunity is in the Hispanic market?
- How an agent should deal with the different demographics within the Hispanic community.
- Discussing the mortgage challenges specific to the Hispanic market.
- Discovering the importance of delivering a presentation in a bilingual “manner,” even if you don’t speak Spanish.
