Recently, we’ve discussed Hispanic Millennials and how between 2012 and 2016, about 3.2 million young, Hispanic U.S. Citizens will have advanced to adulthood.
Of course, the older they get the bigger their desire to have their own family and their own home grows. However, some don’t believe that’s true. Here are two surveys that prove the point:
Lender One conducted an online survey of mortgage lending professionals which revealed that Millennials and the Hispanics could dominate the mortgage market this year. The survey reported:
- 79% of those surveyed said Millennials will be a major piece of the business
- 71% of the surveyed said Hispanics will be a major piece of the business
A survey sponsored by Zillow and conducted by Pulsenomics LLC. asked 10,000 renters and homeowners about their views on homeownership.
- 65% of Millennials said homeownership and the American dream go hand-in-hand.
- 70 % of the Hispanic surveyed agreed that owning their home is necessary to live the American Dream.
The Chief Economist for Zillow, Dr. Svenja Gudell said: “The American Dream is really about opportunity, which means a lot of things to a lot different people. For Young Americans… the opportunity to own a home is a big part of that dream”.
