Hispanics are Most Likely to Associate Homeownership with the American Dream - Latina on Real Estate

Every time a Hispanic family thinks about moving to the United States they have the American Dream in mind! But what is involved in that “American dream”? According to the Latest Zillow Housing Confidence Index minorities are more likely to associate homeownership with the American Dream.

The survey, sponsored by Zillow and conducted by Pulsenomics LLC, asked 10,000 renters and homeowners about their views on homeownership. Of the Hispanics surveyed, 70% agreed that owning their home is necessary to live the American Dream.

In Zillow’s Press Releases, Ms. Svenja Gudell, Zillow Chief Economist said something that should be emphasized:

“It’s often assumed that homeownership holds little interest for these groups, or that they may feel the challenges in achieving homeownership aren’t worth the benefits. But that’s simply not true, and their optimism and determination today will be hugely important to the stability and growth of the housing market tomorrow. These Americans represent the next generation of U.S. homeowners, and for homeownership to eventually become a reality, it has to start as a dream”.

Well put, Ms. Gudell!

If you are one of the 70% that agree that owning a home is part of your American dream, it’s time to contact a local real estate professional and find out about your options!
