The Latino Graduation Rate is Climbing!

Many of us will be attending the graduation of a family member or a friend this weekend and if we pay close attention to the graduates, we can see that a percent of them are Latinos.

According to a NBC News article, the national high school graduation rate hit a record high of 81.4% in 2013 and the 2015 Building a Grad Nation Report mentioned that there is a 75.2% rate of graduation among Latinos.

An Excelencia in Education mentioned that in the United States, 20% of the Latino adults have earned an associate degree or higher. You can see the statistics for your state here.

There are more and more Latinos working hard to earn a degree, which will in turn help them to find a better job and soon they will be our buyers. A new study by the Demand Institute mentions that nearly four million Latinos would like to own their home in the next five years.

So this weekend when you attend that graduation, look at this graduates not only as your family members or friends, but as your future customers.
