To conclude with the series of blogs this month about the Annual State of Hispanic Homeownership Report by NAHREP (the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals) I would like to talk about what they are calling the Hispanic Wealth Project Blueprint, a strategy aimed at tripling U.S. Hispanic Household wealth in the next 10 years.

What is their goal?

  • Achieve a 50% (or greater) rate of U.S. Hispanic homeownership
  • A 50% increase in the first year success rate of Hispanic-Owned small businesses
  • A 25% increase in the number of households owning non-cash financial assets

Why are they doing this?

Hispanic Household wealth dropped by 66% between 2005 and 2009 according to the Pew Hispanic Center.

How are they going to do it?

Working together with industry leaders, organizations, and politicians. If you will like to get a copy of the report click here and let’s do our part to help the Hispanic community increase their household wealth by opening the door to homeownership.
